I think it’s safe to say that Autumn is definitely here. This is the time overpriced, spiced hot drinks make their return to menus at our favourite coffee shops. It’s also time to review our skincare needs, making adjustments for new season. When we think skincare, we tend to link those thoughts, to our faces. In this post, I’m going to be looking at hands. Organii, kindly gifted me two products from their range. I received a cream soap bar and a hand cream. I will share my thoughts later in the post.
Organii Everyday Organics
The brand prides themselves on being “organic, affordable, vegan friendly and fun”. I’m definitely picking up fun vibes from this company! They have incorporated a smiley face into their logo and have bright, multi-coloured hands on their packaging. You may remember my past post on natural skincare. I mentioned that I was trying to use more natural products on my skin and my hair. I must say, Organii fits right in with that. All of their products are free from mineral oils, parabens, silicone, phthalates and Sodium Lauryl Sulfate.
These are my confessions…
Confession time…I do the dishes without gloves! ? I know, I know, it’s harsh on the hands. I’ve tried though, but I always end up with gloves that are cold, wet and soggy on the inside. That is one of the worst feelings ever! Those of us who live in London, know how hard the water can be. My hands are in water a lot these days. Hand washing after each nappy change, also takes it’s toll on my hands. It’s safe to say that washing up liquid and liquid soap can leave my hands, crying out for a good moisturiser.
The cream soap is available in 4 different fragrances- almond, lavender, lime and wild rose. If you are not a fan of any of those aromas, you can get a neutral bar. I chose the almond bar as thought it would be delicately fragranced. I didn’t want something completely neutral. When I first used the bar, I was taken aback by how rich the lather was from the soap. It really is what it says on the box, it was super creamy!
Confession number 2, I haven’t used a bar of soap in years! Before you say ewwwww, I use liquid black soap or shower gel. I stopped using soap bars because they left my skin feeling stripped. I would often have to double up on the moisturiser afterwards. That isn’t life! The Organii cream soap did the opposite. My hands felt like moisture had actually been added. Must be the shea butter!
Rose Scent Confession
So let’s talk about the second part of this winning combo…the hand cream. I’m going to keep it all the way real with you. Confession number 3, I’m not a fan of rose scented products. Guess what? The hand cream is citrus scented but I don’t know why it reminds me of roses!! Did that put me off? No it didn’t! And I will tell you why. The cream melted into my hands beautifully, leaving my hands well moisturised without a greasy residue. After a few minutes, it was like fragrance…what fragrance? The hand cream is a staple in my bag and I love using it. I actually need to get another for use in the house. This just goes to show, it’s whats on the inside that counts!
Would I buy Organii products?
‘These products were gifted, so of course she will recommend them’
Yup, I know that’s what some of you may think. I have used the products for a few weeks now and that is why I have been able to give an honest review. I admitted I don’t like soap. If that isn’t honest, I don’t know what is! However, I have really enjoyed using these products, and I would definitely purchase them. They are excellent value for money and come in at £2.95 each. It is great knowing, I can get organic, good quality, natural skincare treats that are affordable.
I just reviewed two Organii products. Do yourself a favour and check out the rest of their range here www.organii.co.uk
You can thank me later!
Until next time, keep those hands soft and silky ?
